Bruno Mars - whose real name is Peter Gene Hernandez - was born in Hawaii on October 8, 1985. He got his musical chops and dance moves honest from his parents, with his father being a percussionist and his mother, a hula dancer and singer. At three years old, Mars was already performing on stage as an Elvis impersonator, and by the age of four, he had joined his family band, The Love Notes, on stage five days a week.
